The 13th Street Station, Graffiti Album Names, and No Scooter Sign

Swift’s favorite number is 13, but there’s a lot of other symbolism to unpack in this shot of the 13th street station. Swift included the names of her first six albums (Red, 1989, and Speak Now the most clearly, although Taylor Swift is visible too) along with a no scooter sign. That no scooter sign is likely a nod to producer Scooter Braun, who acquired the masters to those first six albums with his acquisition of Big Machine Label this summer.

Swift wrote an open letter when the news came out, describing Braun owning the masters as her “worst case scenario” because of “the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years.”
